Be advised: this is a CRT based TV - Anthony Close - Chicago, USA
I was interested in this product, but it turns out this is a CRT based TV, not LCD.
I didn't know that they still make CRT based TVs, based on the amount of room they take (12.5 inches in this case), power consumption, etc.
If someone is satisfied with a CRT based TV, more power to them (literally!), and they may rate it highly based on how it works. But I am giving it 1 star based only on the fact that Amazon does not disclose anywhere in its description that this is CRT based. Gimme a break, Amazon.
marginal at best - jc - santa cruz, ca USA
I purchased two of these units as monitors for some DVD recorders and they are marginal at best. The seller was fine -- no mark against them -- other than selling an inferior product. The picture quality is not particularly sharp, the colors are over saturated and even with adjustment still tear. Only purchase these if you don't need to watch the picture -- just use it for monitoring. I will probably keep them...but I don't have a lot of confidence that they will last very long.
Sansui/Orion does not stand behind their product - Chick Daniels - Virginia Beach, VA
Less than two years ago, I bought an Orion/Sansui TV. Less than a year later, it blew up. Was under warrantee, so they had to pay for it's repair. The digital board was shot among other things. Now less than a year after that, it blew up again. Called Orion assuming that the replacement parts from less than a year ago would also be under the same 1 year warrantee, but was shocked to discover they only put a 90 day warrantee on their replacement parts. So I told the lady very nicely that she could at least pay the to have my set looked at by the repair shop and she wouldn't do it. So I told her they were gonna lose one way or the other. I obviously bought a lemon, and they wouldn't stand behind their product, nor their parts. I told her she could help me out, or with my remaining 30 or 40 years on this planet I would tell everyone I know to NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONICS FROM ORION. I assured her that I would be certain to persuade enough people to not buy their product that they would be worse off than standing behind their product now. She chose this route:
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ORION. IT IS JUNK, and they will NOT stand behind their product.
Great portable DTV - S. Kilborn - Plymouth, MN.
This 13inch DTV has a great picture, great sound all the features you find on a larger set. It is easy to set up and for a kitchen or even a child's bedroom. It is a excellent TV.

Stranger From Canton Review
Stranger From Canton Overview
Jason Pai Piao was, indeed, a stranger when he started his career in this brutal thriller. But his robust martial arts and brooding charisma led to memorable appearances in such classics as Holy Flame of the Martial World and Disciples of the 36th Chamber (a.k.a. Master Killer 3).
Here he’s an American-educated rebel in a stain-proof white suit up against Ching Dynasty child-killers, torturers, traitors, and a martial arts murderer with a lethal pony-tail!
Combining authentic locations, innovative hand-held camera work, imaginative choreography, coarse, authentic, powerful martial arts, and a final half that’s virtually one fight after another, this Stranger from Canton is worth getting to know!
ABOUT THE PRINT: Although scratched, edited with a hacksaw, far from color balanced, and featuring echoing sound effects seemingly recorded in a cavern, it only adds to the film’s vicious charms.

FreedomFest 2007 The BIG Debate 6of7 Rebuttal D'Souza & Paul
The BIG Debate: US Foreign Policy and the War in Iraq Part 1 www.youtube.com Part 2 www.youtube.com Part 3 www.youtube.com Part 4 www.youtube.com Part 5 www.youtube.com Part 6 www.youtube.com Part 7 www.youtube.com Libertarians Ron Paul & Doug Casey vs. Conservatives Larry Abraham & Dinesh D'Souza A summary of the points raised during the rebuttal: Dinesh D'Souza * The issue here is not just "the government", it's also what the founders stood for. Libertarians believe the founders stood for liberty. Is liberty only good for us? The principled libertarian, like the founders, believes that liberty is a universal aspiration. * The idea of 911 as a police action: Memo to our opponents; the guys that did 911 are all dead. If that's the war on terror then you might as well declare it over. What about all the new terrorists coming out of the madrassas committing bombings all over the world? * The idea that we should pull all of our troops home everywhere and get involved nowhere; if you took this idiotic principle and applied it over the past 100 years...is it the idea that if FDR didn't like Hitler he should go choke him himself? * Blowback; foreign policy is sometimes about the principle of the lesser evil. Sometimes you ally with the bad guy to get rid of the worse guy. In WW2 we allied with the really bad guy--Stalin--because Hitler posed a greater threat at the time. * We sold those weapons to Saddam? Non-sense. The US diplomatically tilted towards Iraq in the 80's because ...

Anime's Bad Rap in the West
Although more understood for what it is by some Anime continues to suffer from misconception by many people in North America which is a shame.
As a art form Anime has no equal with its visually stunning animation and deep storylines that appeal to young and old alike. Unfortunately the majority of western people have never even watched a Anime movie or TV series or would ever even consider letting their children view one because of preconceived ideas of what it is.
Contrary to popular belief Anime is NOT full of sex and nude cartoon characters, that is the provence of the more underground Henti animation. Sure, some Anime TV shows in Japan will show naked characters as they are more relaxed then in America about the human form but that is not the norm nor are those scenes usually contained in DVD's sold in the west unless it is made quite clear on the packaging.
Even with those scenes cut out it does not interrupt the flow of a Anime storyline as that is not what a Anime is built around. Most Anime shows and movies are very much a G rated storyline even uncut and are far superior in both visuals and storyline then western animation.
If you have never watched a Anime you are missing out on a great form of home entertainment that is suitable for your whole family. Some to consider for those that are just getting started in viewing Anime are the full length movies "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Kiki's delivery Service".
These are just a few of the hundreds of Animes that will open up a whole new world of animation to you.
